“I have had the pleasure of knowing and working in partnership (as a geriatric care manager) with Peggy (Margaret) Karidza since 2019.

Peggy is delightful, always smiling and seeing life from a glass-half-full perspective; she loves to laugh. She lived with and cared for my client Ann for almost six years, including during the early days of COVID-19 when she worked without time off for 3-4 months. Her dedication to Ann was extraordinary and beyond what I have observed in most caregivers I have worked with. Peggy was always attentive, gentle, kind, compassionate, patient, and competent, bringing joy and peace of mind to Ann and her family. When necessary, she could get Ann to do something or not do something when that was challenging for others. She is an excellent cook, making sure Ann ate as the doctor prescribed, and in fact, she was so good that she helped cook holiday meals that the entire family enjoyed. Peggy accompanied Ann to family and friend gatherings, doctor's appointments, the hairdresser, innumerable lunches out, Christmas shopping trips, and as Ann's energy diminished over the years and they were home more, she would sit with her for hours doing a jig saw puzzle or watching a funny movie. In a word, Peggy became Ann's best friend and confidante.

Peggy also ran the house, calling the handyman directly when there were problems, interacting with the service providers as needed, and making sure the fridge was stocked, and the medication refills were in. She took excellent care of Ann's dogs, including giving them medication and taking them for daily walks. She was in constant and close communication with Ann's three children.

What the family most appreciated about Peggy was how much they could count on her to provide the best imaginable care, both physically and emotionally, for their mother. They trusted her honesty and forthrightness and were very grateful for her devotion. Peggy gave the most beautiful toast at the funeral luncheon, honoring Ann and bringing tears to everyone's eyes as she recounted some of the many adventures in life and in living that they shared. Anyone hiring Peggy would be fortunate to add such a caring, kind person into their loved one's life. I highly recommend her.
